Ms. Obas entered the job market as a teacher with the New York City Board of Education, where she worked for seven years as a Special Education teacher in the South Bronx.  Her work consisted of teaching students that were mentally, physically and emotionally disabled. She was then able to develop several parent groups and completed college level assignments in the counseling of young adults, on various issues. Her objective has always been to be the voice of children; everything that she has personally and professionally been involved with is to ensure that children are cared for and educated properly.

Tireless hours and personal funds have been contributed by Ms. Obas to develop children’s mind and their outlook on life.
